GAME Black Friday 2026 UK: dates, consoles, Pokémon
Black Friday 2026 is Friday 27 November, and GAME had not published its 2026 sale dates as of 6 November 2026. GAME no longer has standalone shops. It sells online and from concessions inside Sports Direct and House of Fraser. Last year's sale ran into early December, so plan for a similar window and check GAME's own site.
Does GAME still have shops in 2026?
GAME has no standalone shops left, but it still trades online and through concessions. The last three standalone stores were in Dudley, Lancaster and Sutton. Retail Gazette says they would cease trading from April 2026. Nintendo Life reported the closures in early February 2026. The reports differ on the exact date, so treat it as spring 2026 at the latest.
Both reports say GAME keeps more than 200 concession locations inside Sports Direct and House of Fraser stores. Both say its online business continues. Frasers Group bought GAME in 2019.
A July 2026 report from the administrators said GAME owed almost £16 million. The February reports say the website keeps trading. Check that game.co.uk is taking orders before you plan a purchase around it.
GAME Black Friday dates: what we know
GAME publishes its sale dates late, and the last confirmed sale ran past Cyber Monday. The table shows what is on record.
| Year | Black Friday | GAME sale |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 29 November | Dates not confirmed |
| 2025 | 28 November | Offers ran until 4 December, per TopCashback |
| 2026 | 27 November | Not announced as of 6 November 2026 |
The 2025 end date comes from TopCashback's GAME page, which lists a £20 voucher when you spent £100, valid until 4 December. TopCashback is a cashback site, not GAME, so treat it as reported by that site. It gives no 2026 dates.
What GAME sold in the 2025 sale
The same TopCashback page lists the main 2025 offers. They are a guide to the type of deal, not a promise for 2026.
- A £20 voucher when you spent £100.
- A 2 for £20 deal on gaming and accessories.
- PlayStation consoles with up to £135 off, from £294.99.
- PlayStation VR2 cut from £529.99 to £309.99.
- Discounts on games, board games and other devices.
The page also mentions GAME Cyber Monday deals, without details. For when Cyber Monday falls and how it works, see our Cyber Monday 2026 guide.
Consoles at GAME on Black Friday
Console deals are the main reason people watch GAME in November. In 2025, the PlayStation range had the clearest cuts. For 2026, no console price is confirmed.
Before you buy, check three things:
- Bundle or console only. A bundle can hide a premium on the console.
- The price history. Which? found that every Black Friday deal in its 2025 sample was cheaper or the same price at other times of the year.
- Who sells it. Buy from GAME itself, not a marketplace seller on its site, if you want GAME's returns terms.
Pokémon TCG at GAME on Black Friday
Do not expect big Pokémon card discounts at GAME. GamesRadar says accessories get the best cuts and new sets are unlikely to drop, as our Pokémon cards Black Friday guide explains. No GAME Pokémon TCG offer is confirmed for 2026.
GAME's range is smaller since the shops closed. Read GAME Pokémon cards for what the concessions and the website carry. Do not plan a trip to a concession for one product.
How to check a GAME deal is real
A GAME deal is real only if the price is lower than GAME charged before the sale. Use a price tracker and compare the "was" price with last month's price. Which? advises that you do not let yourself feel rushed.
Because GAME went through administration, read the delivery date and the returns terms on the page before you pay. For online orders, GOV.UK says you can cancel within 14 days of receiving the item, then have another 14 days to return it. Our Black Friday 2026 guide covers the rest.
