Pokémon stock checker UK: how to check stock at every shop

· updated · 4 min read

Argos, Smyths and The Entertainer show stock for each branch. Pokémon Center UK, Amazon and John Lewis show online stock only. No single tool covers every UK shop, so a fast check means knowing which button to press at each retailer.

This guide lists what each stock checker shows and how far to trust it. Last reviewed 29 October 2026.

Each retailer has its own guide: Argos, Smyths, The Entertainer, Pokémon Center UK, Amazon UK, John Lewis and Tesco.

How to check stock fast

  1. Open the exact product page, not the category page. A category page can list a product that is gone.
  2. Set your store or postcode first. Argos, Smyths and The Entertainer all default to a branch you may not live near.
  3. Check collection and delivery separately. Home delivery can show sold out while a dozen branches still hold units.
  4. Note the purchase limit on the page before you add to basket.
  5. Reserve and pay online when the retailer lets you. A paid reservation commits the stock. An unpaid one can be released.

How live is a stock checker?

A stock checker shows what the retailer's system believes at that moment. A branch can show one unit after a customer at the counter has just bought it. For a drive of more than ten minutes, reserve first.

A stock checker also cannot tell you when stock arrives. It answers "is it there now". To know when a shop restocks, you need to watch the listing or use an alert.

Stock checker or restock alert?

A stock checker is a page you open yourself. A restock alert tells you the moment a listing changes, with a direct link. The two do different jobs:

  • Use the retailer's stock checker to find a branch that holds a product today.
  • Use an alert to catch online restocks that arrive with no announcement and sell out within minutes.

Our guide to Pokémon restock alerts in the UK compares the routes, and TCG restock alerts covers other card games. You can try the free community before paying for anything.

Before you travel

Check the price against the UK Pokémon RRP list. A shop that lists a box far above RRP is a reason to check ETB prices and the list of UK shops before you spend.

Common questions

Is there a Pokémon stock checker for all UK shops?

No. Each retailer runs its own stock system, and only Argos, Smyths and The Entertainer show stock for each branch. An alert service that watches many shops is the nearest equivalent.

How do I check Pokémon stock near me?

Open the product page at Argos, Smyths or The Entertainer, enter your postcode or choose a store, and read the branch list. Our city guides list the card shops in each major UK city.

Can I trust an in-stock status at a branch?

Trust a higher quantity band. Treat a single unit as a maybe. Reserve and pay online before you travel.

Why does a product show sold out for delivery but in stock for collection?

Home delivery and collection draw on different stock. A warehouse can run out while branches still hold units.

Does Paragn Network sell a stock checker?

No. Members get restock alerts from monitors that watch UK retailers. The alert links to the retailer's own page, where you check stock yourself.
