What drops at Argos on Black Friday?
Argos puts tech, home and garden items in its sale, and toys sit alongside them. Coverage of the 2025 sale named homeware, garden furniture and tech as headline categories. Verge Magazine's report on Argos 2025 lists tech, home and fitness.
For toys, expect Christmas lines. Argos has not announced a 2026 list of LEGO or Pokémon discounts as of 6 November 2026. Trading card sets usually sell at or near RRP, so do not plan around a big drop. Our Pokémon cards Black Friday guide and LEGO Black Friday guide explain what usually happens.
How does the Argos Price Guarantee work?
The Argos Price Guarantee protects you from a later price drop at Argos. MoneySavingExpert reports that badged items will not go lower in price before Friday 25 December. If the price does fall, Argos gives you a voucher for the difference.
This covers Argos prices only. It is not a price match against other shops. MoneySavingExpert does not state the purchase window, so read the terms on the Argos help page before you buy. No published Argos price match scheme exists. John Lewis does match Argos prices on qualifying items. See our guide to UK shops that price match.
Can I click and collect from Argos?
Yes. Argos offers Click & Collect, and Verge Magazine reports same-day or next-day pickup at more than 1,100 Sainsbury's and Argos stores. Stock is shown branch by branch. In a busy sale, reserve early and collect soon, because popular items sell out.
Our Argos Pokémon restock guide shows how to use the branch stock checker. Our Argos clearance guide covers markdowns outside the sale.
How to check an Argos deal is real
A real deal is cheaper than the usual price, not just cheaper than a crossed-out "was" price. Run three checks before you pay.
- Check the price history. Keepa and CamelCamelCamel track Amazon only. For Argos, search the product code on a price tracker, or note the price today and in late October.
- Read the badge. A Price Guarantee badge protects you from a drop at Argos. It does not tell you the price is low.
- Compare other shops. Currys, Smyths and John Lewis often match each other. Which? has found that most Black Friday deals are matched or beaten at other times of the year. Our Black Friday 2026 guide has the details.
If you resell, work out your margin after fees before you buy in bulk. Our Black Friday reselling guide shows how. SAVR sends UK price drop and price error alerts, so you do not need to refresh product pages.
